Closing Down

What a year this has been. I've experienced a period of turmoil both in my private and professional life for quite some time. I knew I had some difficult decisions to make, but I was emotionally not able to face up to them. Finally, I am ready, and I can share this with you.

Chocolate making has always been a labour of love for me, and unfortunately, I did not succeed to find the right balance between love and business, work and private life. After much agonising and deliberation, I decided that I want to stop chocolate making. It still is, and will be my passion, but it has to be on a different level and in a different way. I will eventually work out what that level should be, I am sure of that.

I loved being in touch with you, listening to your comments, talking to you. I also enjoyed the challenges that you threw at me, from developing great flavours with difficult ingredients to bespoke decorations and beyond. I loved it when my chocolates put a smile on your face.
Thank you for your presence in my life, for your support and interest all this time. I value your friendship very highly. I very much hope that we will still hear from each other in the future.
